For clients that don’t need QBO and have relatively low-maintenance bookkeeping needs, we have an Excel spreadsheet that we use internally for bookkeeping. It’s something that we’re used to, and we’ve found that it works well to track a business bank account. When you’re doing bookkeeping for yourself, and you don’t have a lot of complexity, an Excel spreadsheet is a good way to start.
